General Chemistry Interactive Simulations
The following link will take you to the website: General Chemistry Interactive Simulations. Simulations are a great way to make abstract concepts seem tangible. This website provides simulations that address many general chemistry topics. Topics include the Periodic Table, Limiting Reactants, Titrations, and more. Many of these simulations should be teacher lead, since there are not written explanations for the simulations. For example, the periodic table page allows you to click on different periodic trends. If you click on electronegativity, the elements in the upper left hand corner of table will be raised. Students might not understand why the simulation behaves a certain way without a teacher’s explanation.
